Diaper Rash Tips and Treatment

"What is a diaper rash?", is a very common question from new parents. A diaper rash is one of the most common skin problems found in babies. It is caused by the wetness that is trapped in the diaper next to the babies skin and is easy to identify. The baby's skin will look red and blotchy, sometimes appearing to be small bumps or blisters in severe cases. It also may appear warm to the touch and be irritating for the baby to experience.

To avoid diaper rash, change your baby's diaper frequently and avoid prolonged contact to soiled diapers. If your baby is still experiencing rash symptoms, you may also explore a change in formula, teething, antibiotics, soap, lack of air circulation, chemical and dye allergies, and even a change in diet such as changing to solid foods, as these are all causes of diaper rash. Diaper rashes are generally easy to treat and can be prevented with the regular use of a diaper rash ointment.
